I don't know if all the leagues are on the same schedule, and I don't know how any of this works at all, but I'm a wild card team somehow and this is all very exciting

I'm not sure why it does that, but it's definitely not simulating the games yet. It won't start simulating for real until the usual start time, which is 10 AM ET.

Yeah, that makes sense. Since it continued going for more than a couple of days, it hadn't occurred to me that there might be leagues with multiple tie breakers and perhaps the game doesn't schedule them for the same day.
