Borchert Field

Has anyone ever made a model of Milwaukee's Borchert Field? The minor league Brewers played here prior to the Braves coming to town.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Borchert_Field

I'm currently using the Polo Grounds as a "stand in" for it in my "what if the Brewers of 1901 never moved" play through, but it just isn't quite the same. =]

Borchert and Nicollete in Minnesota would both be great additions.

Looks like a cool park to have in the game. Would help to have information such as wall heights and some better images. Would take some time without those

Apologies for not responding sooner.

So as far as I can gather... the right field fence was 25 feet. This is according to Bill Veeck and taken directly from his book. Based on the pictures I'm linking, I'm guessing this is the large fence straight away in right. The side fence would maybe be 8-10 as an estimate? Im not sure... I was hoping to find a picture of an outfielder making a play for scale... I'll keep looking.

http://www.borchertfield.com/2009/04...imensions.html

This link provides a bit of information on the dimensions.

Here are some pictures i've compiled that may be helpful to piece it together. If you can think of anything else you'd need I can try and dig it up.

Thanks! Hope this helps!

My old ballparks database has a lot of these ballparks dimensions gathered from multiple sources including GIS overlays from overlapping old maps with current ones so it’s a pretty good source for finding this stuff, including wall heights.

Just started modeling Borchert field. I love the shape. Problem is the lack of good pictures with good resolution. I’ll do my best

Ok, I have finished my modelling. I have sent this to Adion in hopes he can add his touch to it with a background, day/night pictures.

If that's what you can do with limited information then I think you should have no problem doing any of the ones requested lol.

The textures on this are top-notch. Did you pull those from the images?!?

The ones in CF I did. The other ads on the left and right field are from ones I've collected doing other parks

A bit OT, but has anyone thought about doing the minor league Venable/Babe Ruth/Memorial Stadium in Baltimore? It had the same in-play light poles.

Also OT,but your work knocked the socks off my 7th grade Tech Ed class today as they start work in SketchUp.

I’ve done a few versions of memorial stadium. That wasn’t one of them?

Found it....and my Frederick team is moving there next season. Thanks. The in-play towers are so bizarre.
