When you deleted teams between 1872 and 1873, what happened to the records of the teams you deleted? Did the players go into the free agent pool, or did you have to release them all first?

It's still there in league history if the team folded according to real expansion. If you manually delete I don't think so.
If a team folds according to history and you did not release the players prior to the offseason then you should find them still assigned to that team in league history and you can release them unless they retired that year.
You can release players before the offsets on but if they played for the champions then I think those players won't show up in the championship page as part of the champions.

But what did they do when you deleted them? You had to delete a couple of teams between 1872 and 1873 that didn't exist in OOTP 19th century world, even if they did in real life, and you had to do that again with more teams between 1875 and 1876. What happened to those team records in your game?

Thats just it. I never deleted any teams. You just have to edit the teams csv file so that only the actual real teams show up. You can even start with one league. You either sign the players or manually delete teams and free agents. Then import the teams.
I just signed them this time and i never see a fake historical team.
Im only using a fake team this time to get around the almanac issue but there are no players on it. I may just wait to do the almanac in 1900

I play historical teams-fictional players. My current league is mirroring the history of baseball starting in 1871. As I remove and add teams based on history, team stats and records remain in league history. Players from deleted teams are dumped into the free agent pool.

True but you have to keep an eye on it. I noticed a few players were not there so I had to release them from the league history screen. They weren't retired or it would have said induct into how under the players transaction tab. Maybe it was career breaks? I just know I could not find the player in the free agent or player list. So I had to go through league history and release him from the defunct team there.

1872 news and standings. I did notice that the schedule was off. The amount games are right but i forgot to check for automatic start date or whatever its called. It only affects some transactions dates but i didnt think it was important enough to restart.

Where can i find this mod to show up historical photos in the game, please ? I use OOTP17 and have not the Add-On-Central-Feature (Steam).

The photos i used were downloaded a few years ago. I believe it was Padres site and Gambo may have made the photo pack. It was one with all the players in history. I would check the mods and ask there.
