Error after downloading latest league file

I get the following error when I download the latest league file. It does download the file, but then i'm forced to close and restart. Anyone else having this issue? Thanks!

I read somewhere a couple days ago that someone else had this problem, but when they re-opened OOTP, everything was fine and the file updated?

But me, personally, I have not had this problem.

I have had this problem before. Re-open OOTP and load the game and the new file is there. As for how to fix it, someone in my league said the new patch helps(I think). For me, it just eventually stopped happening somehow.

Yeah, the new file is there when I restart the game. I tried it today with the new patch and it still does that. I'm sure it has something to do with Windows 8!

Seems to happen when you choose to update the league file from some pages. If you always choose to update the league file from the manager office screen it doesn't happen.

But yes, a bug it is no doubt. Note I am yet to install the patch and see if it happens there or not - running windows 7 here.
