How hard would it be to do this?

Take a 3D model of a Major League park, then delete the upper deck, the back drop in the outfield, make a few other tweaks to the skin and create a minor league version of a major league park?

My though is, if it's not a PITA to do, this could be a down and dirty/easier way to create a whole bunch of fictional minor league stadiums

I figure if I don't have the patience to learn to model a ballpark from scratch in scetchup, maybe I could learn to delete .

For example, here is a mock-up I did of Citi Field in Paint.net.

It wouldn't take nearly as much time to come up with a brand new stadium, I can tell you that

It’s much easier, as destroying something should be, but you just need to make sure that the sections you want to remove are competely isolated faces from the sections you want to keep. Otherwise you will delete good sections

I did this when I went to earlier versions of candlestick and the version of cinergy when they had to tear out the cf section to build the new park

I just spent 10 minutes in sketchup using only the eraser tool and got rid of all of the bleacher upper deck in citi field. To show how quickly something can be done. Changing colors of walls, distances isn't all that hard either

WHA WHA WHAAAT?!

Well, there you go. Now we have another fictional stadium. You can call it Sh - iti field :P

If I have a moment tonight I might try my hand at this. This could be done with basically all of them. Change the colors a little here and there. Boom! Now you have a bunch of minor league stadiums to use.

Well, hey, you set yourself up by saying it took 10 minutes.

You should have said it took you all night because you had to rewire part of the wall, then the textures were screwed up, and you had to re-position it in the game, then the textures showed up all black, then the crowd was wrong, etc etc...

Remember, we can't see you doing this stuff. For all we know, you could be sitting there eating mallowmars while cranking them out in 5 minutes.
