Set Initial Rosters

Hey, is there any way to set my initial rosters manually, without having to put guys on waivers and whatnot? For example, I'm playing as the Blue Jays and Johan Santana is on the main team, and I don't want to risk losing him through waivers but I don't want him up yet because he's not up in real life. Once the season starts I don't mind, waivers are part of the game, but for now I'd like to have it as if I had just made my final roster decisions after spring training.

Make yourself commissioner and then go into the player editor and you can put him on any team you like.
