Andreas and I fixed the screwed up arm slots. So these should change for quite a few guys next build and be back to how they should be!

Question, and apologies if it's been answered (I haven't gotten to free agency yet): has the new qualifying offer system been implemented? I don't remember it off the top of my head, but I know that it involves surrendering lower picks (and compensating in lower rounds, too) than the first-round pick.

Here's a link explaining the complicated rules:

I don't think it's in the game yet. The rules are tough to wrap our heads around and then for the guys to code. Might be a next year thing.

You can Edit guy in Editor to give him a no Trade cause. Also Draft Date is wrong not the 8th. They might be other mistakes but moves are happening every day.

The draft date is right in game. It's not on the 8th this year.

Every time I start a Standard 2018 game with the Royals I still have the 2017 roster. My date in my game is 3/8/18 and I still have Hosmer & Cain which I'm tempted to just keep anyway

I quit that game thinking I did something wrong and started a new Standard game with the Royals and now my beginning date is 3/31/17. Still 2017 rosters...

From just a quick go through of the initial roster, mostly interested in finding players who are now retired/coaches/etc. Sorry that this list is so long just figure its better to get it all out now:

- Current FA’s with compensation attached (?) will you lose a pick for signing them? i.e Greg Holland, Alex Cobb etc.

- Mariners owner = not Howard Lincoln anymore. The new majority owner is John W. Stanton, who Forbes listed as 51 years old in 2007. Since he's become owner he's been somewhat present, more so than Howard Lincoln I'd say. He appears to be willing to spend money since we're in win now mode, though I wouldn't say he's a free spender. Our GM Dipoto has said a few times if he wants to push the budget he has the ability, etc.
- OF Trey Griffey = Mariners technically control his rights but he plays football, should be retired
- RF John Jaso = interview @ end of season made it sound like he was going to retire, has had concussion issues and what not.
- 1B Mike Jacobs = retired and managing in Marlins minor league system now
- 1B Rene Tosoni = retired, works in Braves minor league system now (Fangraphs article from yesterday touched on it)
- 1B Justin Morneau = retired, works as special assistant w/ Twins
- P Daniel Bard = retired, works as a coordinator with the Diamondbacks now
- C Bre’Shon Kimbell (free agent) = his name is all crazy and full of symbols when I look at his profile, Historical Minors ID is kimbel000bre.
- 2B Cole Figueroa = retired, works in the Rays front office
- OF Coco Crisp = retired, coaches HS baseball
- OF Will Venable = retired, works in Cubs front office
- SS Paul Janish = retired, coaches college baseball
- 2B Steve Tolleson = retired (same Fangraphs article)
- Rays GM Erik Neander = age is listed as “0”
- Scouting Jason McLeod = listed as an available personnel, but I believe he should be the actual Scouting Director for the Chicago Cubs, not Matt Dorey
- GM Chaim Bloom = age is listed as “0”
- Hitting Coach Brian Betancourth = age is listed as “0”
- P Chris Seddon = retired, coach in Angels minor league system
- C Raywilly Gomez = retired, coach in Angels minor league system
- C P.J. Jones = retired, believe he is a bullpen catcher w/ the Tacoma Rainiers now
- OF Eric Farris = retired, hitting coach in Mariners minor league system now
- OF Jerry Owens = retired, coach in Indians minor league system
- 2B David Adams = retired, coach in Yankees minor league system
- Usually teams have announced their minor league staffs by now, the Blue Jays are missing a bunch of positions, could be worth looking into. Same with the Cardinals
- 1B Delwyn Young = retired, coach in Mets minor league system
- P Brad Bergesen = retired, coach in Phillies minor league system
- 1B Christian Marrero = retired, coach in Phillies minor league system
- 1B Bryan LaHair = retired, coach in Reds minor league system

BTW the game and new interface are awesome

Someone already mentioned Adam Jones. Mark Trumbo's contract goes a year too long as well. In game it says it was signed prior to 2018 but it was signed prior to 2017. Might be worth looking into because it seems multiple players have their contracts start a year too early in the game, as that was the reason for Jones' contract being off as well.

If we've downloaded the beta, will our product key work on the official version, too? Sorry for posting this here - I wasn't sure where to ask.

Are you sure you're playing OOTP19, not OOTP18?

That's the ai's decision, not something we can set. We could lower his batting ratings but they're pretty reasonable considering he was a pretty good hitter in college.

We may've forgotten to roll some of the contracts ahead a year. We'll have to check that out.

2) Chase Utley, LAD (2-year, $2M)
3) Cameron Maybin, MIA (1-year, $3.25M)
4) Kennys Vargas, NYY (currently in DFA limbo; still with MIN)
5) Jonathan Lucroy, OAK (1-year, $6.5M)
6) Tommy Hunter, PHI (2-year, $18M; mentioned before but may have been missed)
7) Daniel Nava, PIT (released on 3/20/18; no longer with team)
8) Ichiro Suzuki, SEA (1-year, $750,000)
9) Bud Norris, STL (1-year, $3M)
10) Carlos Gomez, TB (1-year, $4M)
11) Seung-hwan Oh, TOR (1-year, $1.75M; 2nd-year vesting option at $2M, if possible to include)
12) Joaquin Benoit, WAS (1-year, $1M)

These were the ones I saw, but I will keep looking for any other issues.

I am currently working on these items.

As for Griffey, I have left him on roster but disabled him. I usually retire a player once the team has placed him on the restricted list such as Russell Wilson with the Yankees. However, for whatever reason the Mariners actually are carrying him on the active roster. Same as Jeff Driskel with Boston. Both players spent all of the last season on the "Temporary Inactive List". Not sure the teams reasoning for this. I am sure they will both be placed on the temporary inactive list again once the season begins.

I am still finishing up a few of the minor league coaching staffs. They will be done in the next day or two.

There's also Alex Cobb's contract with the Orioles, but that obviously just happened today.

Also: JoJo Romero as a top-100 prospect? I don't think I saw any list that puts him there, let alone in the high 30s...any chance that was supposed to be Sixto Sanchez's spot? That would make more sense.
