Players and Teams from another save are infiltrating a new game save

I created a template and started a few new custom games from that template. On one of my new saves, I started seeing familiar names from a separate and older save. I chose one player and checked his history and sure enough it showed his team that he was on from a different save. I could continue digging and view the full team from the different save. I basically have two teams for every one team, I suppose to suggest there are multiple universes or something. Now these players from another dimension are being signed to the real teams AND vice versa where the old save teams are signing players from my real teams.

Basically I have two 2017 seasons that were played. One from a new save and one from a previous and separate save. Both using the same starting template. And now my 16-team league is a 32-team league.
