Game Won't Load

When I fire up OOTP 19 on my Mac, I go to Perfect Team, and it freezes on "Opening Graphics for each team..." every time.

I played it with no issues last night. After my gaming session I shut it down, then when I started it this morning it keeps freezing at this point of the load process.

Everything seems to be working in the background. At the OOTP Main Screen it shows my league and the timer continues to count down, but the Perfect Team game itself won't load.

Any suggestions?

Thank you!

I think we can use a trace file to try to figure out what's happening here.

To get that on a Mac, please do the following:

Open up a Finder window and go to the Go menu and hold down the option key (or alt key).
Now select Library from the menu (it's hidden if you don't hold down the option key).
From there, open up Application Support, then Out of the Park Developments, OOTP Baseball 19 and finally the config folder.
Double-click on the file called "app".
In the now open file, find the line that says "trace_mode". It should have a 0 on the following line.
Change the 0 to a 1. Save and close the file.
Trace Mode will now be enabled the next time you run the program.

Once Trace Mode has been enabled, to generate the file just start the game and let hang on the PT loading. While the game is still open, to access the trace files in the Finder on your Mac, open the Finder then hold down the option key and select Go from the upper menu bar. The list of locations will now include "Library", which is not ordinarily visible by just selecting Go.

Under Library select the following sequence: Application Support -> Out of the Park Developments -> OOTP Baseball 19 -> debug

There should be a trace file there that you can attach to your reply here.

When I open Application Support folder, there is no OOTP folder to click into.

Looking for some alternate solutions, I do see a OOTP file in the Crash Reporter file...would that be helpful or should I try something else?

Might help, not sure. Can't hurt to post it.

Alternately, try searching in the finder for an "Out of the Park Developments" folder. I suppose it's possible it might not be in application support in your MacOS.

Sorry but I'm not seeing any OOTP folders or files to choose from in Finder.

From the Settings tab on the OOTP Main Screen, I am able to get some different folders open...should I try to work it that way?

No worries about this, I had only been playing for a few hours so I just created a new Challenge Mode account and everything loaded up upon initial sign in.

I greatly appreciate your help!

I'm having the same issue, the game didn't load in the entry league, worked in the rookie league season1, and now its freezing agin in season 2 during the loading logos at different percentages. Using a Mac Pro.
