Rule 5
I'm coming across a bunch of players in my rookie leagues who are showing as rule 5 draft eligible. These players are 17-19 years old with quite often less than one year of professional service time. According to the OOTP manual a player should not be eligible for the rule 5 until he has at least 4 years of service time if under 18. None of these players should be rule 5 eligible for at least 2-3 more seasons.
Is anyone else seeing this issue? I am updated to the latest patch and started a new game after the latest patch was released and applied. |

Is there any pattern to these players being eligible?
All Drafted this past/current year? All Called up from International Complex this past year? etc.. |

Could it be that you signed those players as minor league free agents? Those are Rule 5 eligible regardless of professional service time, that was patched in with the latest big update.

Bingo. This is the reason. I didn't realize there was an update for this in the last patch. Thanks!
