* next to player's name on League Leader's Page
...and it's not Mark McGwire or Barry Bonds.
When viewing the league leader's page, I get an asterisk next to some of the players' who are in the top of the hitting streak category. What meaning does this have? Thanks. Last edited by pumph; 05-20-2013 at 01:26 AM. |

But, they're all still alive. The league leaders page only lists the active streaks. So, for me right now, I have Denard Span at 16 games, and it's listed as 16* When the streak is broken, he'll disappear from the league leaders' page. As will the others when they are broken. But for some reason, only some of the players get an asterisk. Last edited by pumph; 05-20-2013 at 11:57 AM. |

The bottom four windows (left to right) are league records over all seasons. The top eight windows (two rows of four) show the current season. If the streak is active, it has the * beside it. |

This is on the standings page, with league leaders displayed on the sides. It only shows the three-longest active streaks. Some of them have asterisks next to them. Some do not.
When the streak is broken, no matter if it's the longest of the season or not, is disappears from the list because the list only shows the three longest active streaks. |

I think what he is asking is since the page only shows streaks, why would it need an asterisk?
I'm guessing (since I haven't looked at this in game) is that the asterisk is used to denote active streaks on another pages and it just comes with an asterisk still attached to it????? Again, I'm totally guessing. |

I thought the league standings page showed the three longest streaks to date, regardless of whether or not they were active.
Confirmed. I'm at 7/28/2014 in my Astros game. The longest streak to date has been 20 games by Billy Hamilton. It ended on 5/30/2014. Last edited by olivertheorem; 05-20-2013 at 09:57 PM. |

the streak can happen the year before and continue into current season and will still show an * after that streak. I had that happen to me so the streak does NOT end at the season ending.
