Amateur Draft Question

I have two separate leagues, a Major-League level league and an independent AAA league. I only want an Amateur Draft on the day that I set it for the AAA league, as the MLB players will always get replenished with AAA players. This means that the MLB Draft is off.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but if the draft is off, new prospects will enter as free agents in a certain league, right? Is there a way to prevent that? I only want prospects being generated in the AAA draft.

Well I tried this out and there were MLB prospects generated which the MLB teams quickly snapped up before the annual re-draft, so it didn't matter.

If this can't work, is there any way to get teams to only focus on overall, and not factor potential into the evaluations?

You'll be able to sign them, but you just won't be able to sign them for less than their bonus demands.
