Please someone help me out!

I am not a new member to OOTP Baseball or even this website. I have been a member in the past. But I haven't been online much in over two years and have a new email. So I re-registered. I was Bohica42.

I love this game, really love it. But I am having difficulty and don't know where to turn to get any help. I just purchased 2014 OOTP Baseball. I have a laptop that it is on. I am using windows 8.

After I installed the game and put in my license key, everything was loading the game fine till the very end when it says that OOTP crashed at start up. Will change graphics to before startup. That was the message I got.

Then I closed everything, started the game up again and tried to start a new game under quick starts. It froze up during the copying quick start files menu.
I tried it under start a new game under 2013 MLB start and it did the same thing.
The Historic creation worked just fine.
So I guess I don't understand what I am doing wrong or what happened.
Please help or direct me to help. This is a fine community.
And thank you Markus for putting out such a great game.
