So you know, the buy via desktop option seems to work, but the buy via web browser function takes you to http://www.elicense.com/sigames/store/index.asp where there is no option to buy OOTP8 that I see. I'm thinking you want it to direct to https://www.elicense.com/ootpdevelop...tore/index.asp , but you'd still need to add it there.

Are there plans for a trial version? I'm anxious to check out the catobase importer. Does anybody have a sample output uploaded anywhere?

It will work the other way as well, if an owner has OOTP8 and commish has 2007, it's all good.

Here is before (now league coverted to 2007 in the year 2027):

http://www.wlb.leagueserver.net/WLBr...100_index.html

and after (test copy of old catobase 2002-2026)

http://www.narbl.leagueserver.net/WL...100_index.html

There are some things I need to fix in the CSVs before I test my league conversion again, as there were some instances of bad data converting throughout diff versions such as names in lowercase, uppercase. Minor if you ask me for what the end result was. Not perfect but pretty awesome work considering the complexity!

So does it still have the SI feel? Or is it the good ol' OOTP 6.5 feel?

I'm still bamboozled from this release. I won't be buying it anytime soon, but I'm still shocked nonetheless.

It is functionally identical to OOTP 2007. OOTP 6.5 is gone.

Very impressed and excited. I'll be buying as soon as the upgrade price is available.

Does it create lahman-style csvs as first stated? So a Lahman import doesn't suffer from the AL/NL problem anymore?

The game would cost 5.99 USD/EUR for owners of OOTP 2007. But we still don't really know if we can get that to work, so it's not a promise at the moment!

I have bad news. OOTP8 is still branded with SI crap.

The first on-field game I went to play had "SION" in big letters in the banner above the playing field. Underneath it, text read: "SI Online Network Live."

I thought that part of what we were paying for in OOTP8 was to have all of the SI crap taken out, not to have it left in!

I am very, very disappointed.

Five thousand thanks for a non-modder? I never thought I'd see the day. Thank you for your support.

On the plus side, the game does seem a bit faster.

I copied over the Majors.quick to a test league folder under ootp2007 and loaded it up. It loaded up fine, so i checked the history.

2006 showed St. Louis as champions but if I click AL or NL it says that Detroit won the World Series 4-0.

Oh and the NYY AAA affiliate is called Scranton-Wilkes Barre in the game when the hyphen according to the club is between Wilkes and Barre...

There's a thread started in the mods section to catch these errors.

SION should be the only SI stuff you see.

It's too much and too prominent and too galling. Why wasn't it removed? Can it be removed in a patch?

They are currently scrambling to get the OOTP 9 builds ready for the end of the month.

From what I understand, SION would have taken way to long to remove.
