First OOTP 15 Screenshots!

Hey guys,

so, it is Sunday, and the sun is actually shining here. That's probably why I am in such a good mood (despite working)... so, here are the first screenshots of OOTP 15 as a little surprise As you can see, the look has changed quite a bit, it's much cleaner and more professional looking IMO. Of course, this is still work in progress!

A few notes about screen resolution:
- The 1st, 5th and 6th screen is in 1360 * 768 (16:9), which is the most used screen resolution world wide at the moment.
- The 2nd, 3rd and 4th screen is in 1440 * 900 (16:10), which is the default resolution the game uses when opened on big desktop monitors.

Some interface tweaks:
- More stats are displayed, taking advantage of the wide screen mode.
- The scouting menu is replaced by a switch.
- The available actions are now put into one single menu, the lower bar from OOTP 14 which carried function buttons / menus is gone. It's all in a single place in all screens now.
- Facegen rendering has been improved (still work in progress).
- The upper background no longer adjust to team colors, but rather the menu buttons and parts of the tab frame.
- League-related screens (see screenshot 6 as an example) have their title appear as a menu when you move the mouse over them (and click, by default), this menu allows you to switch between leagues quickly. Same applies to team screens.
- The game tracks new stats for hitters (K%, BB%, WPA) and pitchers (IRS%, WPA).

OK, how do you like them? I think Daniela did an amazing job.

Coincidence. As Markus said, the menu color is the team color (like the profile page background is now). And the jerseys the game creates puts the team color as the undershirt color. I'm assuming it functions the same as ever, allowing you to pick whatever color you want for each part of the uniform.

Man, that clean look is fantastic. I'm liking the FaceGen tweaks - looks like there are some lighting effects that are new. If it's not already planned, it'd probably be a good idea to have an option between "classic" and "modern" FaceGen, since FaceGens taken from real pictures may wind up looking worse.

Really like the performance of the day across the top and the scores\scheduled games three wide using the horizontal screen space.

I'm running 1920*1080 on my monitor, will v15 use all of that space on the "scores" screen going wider than the three boxes shown on the 1360*768 screen shot?

It looks like design now is more close to Football Manager 2014.

By the way, Facegen is great!

It will use all the space it can get for the boxes, yes.

thanks. I want to check some game created colour scheme(mainly feeders) and the undershirt is not always the colour of the team, so I wondered if the new setting was changing, or just a coincidence, and if we would have still option to have a variation

We'll have 3 skins this year again, default (the one of the screenshots), dark and classic. However, the other 2 are not finished yet, I'll show them once they are done sometime in March.

Right! I forgot to add my request for OOTP's built in bifocal feature.

You have to take care of your loyal but aging customers Markus. Heh, you're not getting any younger yourself.
