Will Live Perfect Cards have any market value?

With Live cards fluctuating on a weekly basis, obviously some cards will increase in rating (and sometimes tier value), and some will decrease.

But Live Perfect cards can only decrease in tier value, and the risk of holding onto one, I think, is extremely high. Going from a guaranteed quick-sell of 20k down to 4k would be a massive loss. The market prices for Live Perfect cards in PT19 have generally hovered a few thousand over the quick-sell + tax threshold, and the best Live Diamond cards are just over 10k.

There's plenty of reason to think the market in PT20 will be markedly different from PT19. Most people so far seem to think that tournaments and collections will lead to higher market prices across the board. But I wonder if the risk accompanying Live Perfects will depress the market for them so thoroughly that we might see people quick-selling them with regularity.

I'm interested to hear what others think.

Yes, I think the Auction House is going to be a far different animal than it has been in v19. It's going to take time to see how prices will fluctuate based on real-time adjustments, and the actual values of LIVE cards likley won't stabilize until after the real-life All Star Game in July. That means about 20 years of high variability for most LIVE cards and 30 years of more what we have come to expect in v19.

Add in the tournaments and you basically have a new game

On the other hand, a live diamond could become a perfect?

some live cards might be super hard to get because speculators will grab them hoping that they increase in value.

Yup There's a bit more speculation involved in Live cards this year. It'll be very intersting!

Ha.This game will save me real life money as I don't have to spend thousands on autographed rookie cards anymore. I got too much invested in Victor Robles.

I don't think there is a limit on inactives...just a limit on your reserve roster.

Perfect cards can still technically get better I would think. I assume Trout will be a Perfect, but if he goes out and hits 30 home runs before the break that power rating is going to go up, for instance.

Will the Future Legends also be adjustable if the players come up and are better or worse than advertised?

There is no limit for inactive cards. The reserve roster is limited to 175.

Will there be ways to sort and organize the cards on the inactive roster?

There ought to be something. If you have 1000 inactive and 175 active and you want to enter a tournament allowing only bronze players, hopefully, prayerfully, there is a way to quickly list the eligible players.

Yeah, we'll have something useful for that case.
