Historical 3D Stadiums project completed!

Thanks for doing this silvam.

I have pretty much never messed around with stadiums much in my OOTP career as I typically just stick with defaults and sim more than play out games.

However, this has me inspired to load these up into a new fictional league I'm using. Pardon my ignorance, but what exactly are the steps entailed to get these working as intended for a fictional league?

The way i do it is i keep all files in my Silvam folder. Go to Team Menu - Team settings -Edit Ballpark - Manually import data Yopu can either use the .prk associated with the file or use Pstrickets .prk file from any year, which is what i do. Then go to Pics & Coords - Silvams files work great as 2D pics also. But select 3D model and navigate to where you have that park saved and select the .obj file.
My dimensions and factors are from 990 I believe.

So, got some updates for those who aren't following my stadiums thread in the OOTP mods section

Fenway park circa 1988
Royals stadium circa 1991
And Suntrust Part which is brand new and isn't opened yet for the Atlanta braves.

In sorry for asking again but how do you install this stadiums and anything special you need to do after you install them? Also I'm not to familiar with the 3D stadiums is there a place to download the current MLB ones it they already in the game? And are there any generic ones out there?

The 3D models forum under the mods forum is the best place to go. There is a sticky thread with a link to the 3D section of the manual. It's the best I can do from my phone. Sorry

I remember going to quite a few games at Milwaukee County Stadium. Now I can play games there again if I wanted to.

one of the best things ever was the ballpark creator. it is amazing that 30 years later everything else for the baseball sim fan is way, way better. except for this - this is the one thing we haven't improved on yet. for the most part I am not a big fan of DLC, especially the way the EAs of the world do it. But if OOTP was ever to expand and add some DLC a ballpark editor and some pro made parks would be fine with me and I would pay, I would pay a lot.

As it is I am considering paying a young talented artist (and or silvam if he is down) to create some parks that I would then share with the community. I LOVE ballparks, I probably spend a third of all my OOTP time on parks.

Wait, are you saying I'm old? Haha

This year, I have spent 100% of my OOTP creating parks. I've loved every minute of it. I grew up enamored with all the parks and the intricacies. I'm loving researching and studying the parks. It's a great project for me.

truly amazing work, and will hit a much bigger audience (and solve a lot f the install issues) if we could get this stuff on there.

Its not on adds ons. Who is in charge of putting things on AOC?
