Thumbs up All-Star Game Suggestions

  • The ability to designate or manually adjust voted on starters for the All-Star Game from a third-party utility like Statslab
  • The ability to adjust the All-Star Game host site/stadium to any stadium in the league or a neutral site (Hawaii, Bahamas, etc )

Neutral sites would be good, but you can set it to a given stadium in your league as you go to play out the game - I always have my All-Star game at the home of the reigning league champions.

One thing I haven't been able to work out is whether you can change which team is designated as the home team - changing the venue has sometimes left me with the actual 'home' players on the official 'away' team.

I didn't know this. Thanks!

Bump for OOTP15 suggestions regardless!

Also would like to add the ability to adjust Spring Training Location/Stadium.

you can do that also. I use 2 parks from the 2k10 set one that is in the desert one that is in the tropics/has water in the background.
League Setup Edit Ballparks. Spring Ballpark. I think there might be 2 of these.

I'll definitely try out the ASG and Spring Training suggestions above for my league, AFBL. Thanks!

I was able to create a stadium in the Bahamas for our All-Star Game so that worked perfectly. Thanks!

I have our league in a test league to check on Spring Training. I have edited the generic 'Spring Ballpark' which included renaming it and adjusting the factors, etc. When I check games in ST, they are being played in a different stadium. When I go into a specific scheduled game in ST, the stadium drop-down is blank so it defaults to what appears team ID #1's stadium.

Is there a way to move the renamed 'Spring Ballpark' to the top of the list or tell the game to use it after renaming? I suppose I could keep the name as is or manually go into each game then change the ballpark and then sim each ST game until the end but that would be a pain in the ass.

Any thoughts/suggestions?

I did figure this bullet point out... Go into the All-Star Game clicking Manage and then change the 'Substitutions' drop-down to yourself (Commish). From there you are able to adjust the ASG starters, batting order, and starting pitcher.

What is that weird ballpark graphic you have there?

I have seen in before and thought it was an earier version of the game, but that clearly says OOTP14...

Well I got my answer.... It is by design and no upcoming plans to change.

@ootpbaseball seems like it has to be named Spring Ballpark for it to stay there. Any changes causes it to default to Team ID #1's stadium.

@mstreeter06 I asked Markus and he said: "Yes, that's by design, no way to change it, sorry."

Matthew Streeter ‏@mstreeter06 28m
@ootpbaseball gotcha I figured so but didn't hurt to ask. How about changing it in OOTP15 to allow the adjustment ?

OOTP Baseball ‏@ootpbaseball 27m
@mstreeter06 Markus doesn't expect to change that in 15. Sorry.

Matthew Streeter ‏@mstreeter06 25m
@ootpbaseball no worries. Thanks for the quick reply as always. I'll either keep the name as is or go in each ST game as adjust the stadium
