Moneyball
why does Billy Beane get all the credit for creating the moneyball system, when the 2008 Tampa Bay rays went to the world series with the 29th highest payroll in the league?

Because 2008 was several years after the book of the same name had been written with a particular focus on Beane's A's. And seriously, do you expect people to change an established narrative?

Nevermind, for some reason I was thinking Moneyball was about the 2011 A's not the 2002 A's. Forget I said anything.

Beanhead should get credit for the single playoff series the A's have won while he's been in charge (22 years).
