I have noticed that I can't make a starting position player also be a backup in case of injury like I could before this patch. Otherwise, everything looks great to me.

I just went into my Steam account and checked the Update Options available. They give us THREE options to choose from, isn't that great? One, Always keep game up to date.

Two, Only update when the game is launched.

Three, High-Priority, auto-update before the other games.

But neither of those options do what's required:

Always keep up to date will just add to the queue to download at a later time.

Only update when game is launched, will download an update when you launch the game(so you don't have games you haven't played in ages wasting bandwidth).

High-priority will update nearly as soon as a new push to the depot happens. This is for games you play regularl

This is why a lot of developers will move the former release depot into the "beta" tab and mark it something like "previous release".

saw the update and started downloading, then noticed this was 12 pages long. Glanced thru pages. Seems at this moment 0130cst 9Aug16 that there is a Hot Patch anticipated so I can delay the download.

Correct?

Yes, hotfix expected today. If you patch now you may get problems (AI releasing prospects) so it would be advisable to wait.
