So is elimination number the new mass select, or is that still the World Baseball Classic?

It's still definitely the WBC. The word was prior to 17 that the WBC was the last thing cut from the new features list for several years running, so I would imagine the same held true for 17 as well.

Markus and co. have been in the same room with that particular 800 lbs gorilla for so long now you have to wonder if there's any place left for them sit in there that isn't covered in gorilla poop.

We learned our lesson from the past and between the 3d, historical minors, threading, etc... WBC never seriously made it onto the conversation for this year.

But next year, since it's actually going to happen in real life, well, it's going to be hard to not do something for it

Why would we stick to the topic at hand if we can complain about the lack of the WBC? After all, by the time OOTP18 comes out, the 2017 WBC will already have finished.
