Saves not saving

I’m doing a 1974 season. Took me a week to set it up exactly the way I wanted. I’m listed as commissioner. But after Opening Day I hit save as always, plus I have it set up for save daily, yet I go into it today and A LOT of what I had set up has been changed. Only possible thing I can think of is when I set up every team’s front office, in the interests of realism, I filled in GMs and managers and pitching and hitting coaches for each team that existed back then. By filling in GMs, which I thought was weird that they were all vacant, did I somehow screw myself out of controlling every team???

To say I’m PO’d is an understatement. It’ll take me several days to redo everything the system undid. If this is a bug, PLEASE fix it!

Sorry, pitching and hitting coaches? Was this supposed to go in the OOTP tech support forum?

I’m just not sure if it’s something I did or if it’s a bug that pretty much undid a lot of the lineup settings and player editing I had done.

Is this happening in FHM or OOTP, though? It sounds like you're playing OOTP.

OOTP. Since I posted this question I went back and deleted all GMs and managers, and the problem seems to be gone. So I’m happy to report it was my obsession with entering all the correct front office people and not some glitch in the game. Thanks for trying to help.

I spoke too soon. Started it up today and was greeted with a prompt telling me there was a problem with my save files. I not only hit save every time before turning the game off but I also have it set on save daily. So in a sense I should be doubly protected. I don’t get it...

It says OOTP 21 on the top of the page. Same company owns both games, no?
