Right to Refuse MiLB Assignment
Just curious, has anyone seen a MLB rostered player with this option actually NOT refuse a demotion (i.e., accept it and move on!)? So far, I have not, although my playing time is limited to a total of ~11 "game years" in three different games.
Thanks for any and all feedback! Mr. Moose |

I've seen it a lot. Also had a situation a few days ago where a player who had refused demotion accepted demotion a few months later.

If they have low ratings, they seem to have a good chance of accepting being moved down. But if they are good enough to be a starter somewhere in the league, they might refuse.
Personality probably plays a role too. Higher greed and maybe lower loyalty may make them less likely to agree. I think the quality of your ML roster might have an effect too. If you've got much better players in every position that the player in question can fill in at, then he may be more willing be demoted. Last edited by Timofmars; 07-24-2018 at 05:34 AM. |

Had it happen shortly after my previous post. RP, making good money, had fallen to 2 stars (real).
Said no. I tried a couple months later and he went. I think somewhere along the line I waived him with no takers. |
