My lucky day
I bought 5 regular packs and pulled a 88 Didi Gregorius, a 94 Jose Ramirez and a PERFECT Josh Gibson! I almost spent my credits on a Giancarlo Stanton to boost my offense. I think I did a little better than that with the three guys I pulled.

Nice!! Enjoy that Gibson, one heck of a card. I'm totally not at all jealous, not one bit...

Congratulations! Soak it in because you won't feel this feeling again...ever.
But I'm happy for you with a hint of bitterness mixed in at how terrible my luck has been. I just passed the 1,000 pack mark late last night and still no perfects, only 7 diamonds in PT 20, and every diamond was crap except for a Blyleven which sold for 53k.

As of last night, yup. Spent my entire tax refund on PP in this and 19... I buy them in chunks of 75 with the $49.99 deal.

Well, I do rip packs but first I nail down my core team via the AH - hopefully you did that. I've pulled about 160 packs on my pay team.

The chances of getting 7 or less Diamonds over 1000 packs is 0.000004% or a one in 28 million chance. You have a better chance of winning lotto (in my country at least).

He means 1000 packs between 19 and 20, with 7 diamonds just in 20.

I'm somehow doubting this story. Sorry Puppy but if you had that much coin you have to be seriously misguided to not just buy a bunch of fantastic players straight up.

Any chance you could tell me the odds of opening 1000 packs without a perfect?

0.67% or 1 in 149. Very low, but not absurdly low.

Pulled the Peak Babe Ruth this morning. By far the best card I’ve pulled.

I wish I could say my experience makes me believe otherwise. I haven't seen a perfect yet. I've seen others on the ah sure. Quite frankly I'm baffled how anyone gets them. Supposed to drop a perfect every 180ish packs? I'm at 1038 by my last count without one. That's roughly 6180 cards without a perfect. Its beyond discouraging. Quite frankly its ridiculous. I understand odds but for someone to drop $400 on packs and another $40 on the game and basically have no more than a f2p to show for it there's something wrong there.

My struggle has been trying to upgrade starting pitching. It's pretty easy to pick up individual pieces for teams, save up, upgrade a couple a season, and drop a few bills to get the team to where I want it to be. Top starting pitchers are skewed so much higher, it's hard for me to justify spending $100 (or more) on one starter, when I can grab 175 packs for the same cost.
That being said, on around my 180th pack I got Don Sutton so I feel like I spent all my pack luck on that. 2 seasons best pitcher in Gold and Diamond. In the end, it's a game, so it's a balance. If you aren't having fun, change how you're playing for sure. I have left a lot of other card games because I felt helpless to affect outcomes. Here it seems like a lot of RNG that you can significantly curb through clever strategy, lineups, and looking at WAY too many statistics. Which makes it fun for me. Good luck on your journey, and I hope you get there soon!
