I don't know about you but I love the name "Jerky". The San Antonio Jerky.

The name change is for the team that is moving to Amarillo, the Triple-A team in San Antonio will most likely be the Missions.

Not only is the Express-Astros affiliation official, but they've also tweaked their brand for it:

According to this source, the Baby Cakes are staying in New Orleans and it will be a AA Southern League franchise in either 2020 or 2021.

And, it seems that there is already an exisitng Wichita Marlins team as part of the Kansas Collegiate Baseball League.

Although it hasn't been completely disclosed yet or when it will be formally announced (but if it has, I missed it), the Reds are returning to Chattanooga from Pensacola.

As it stands now, that is the only Double-A move, which could mean Minnesota to Pensacola.

All the crappy minor league identities, and they decide to get rid of one with history, tradition, a great visual identity, and replace it with a friggin' state outline and a script logo?

I can't decide which is worse, the ultra-stupid names like Baby Cakes, or the generic-as-hell ones like this.

More affiliation changes made some news yesterday.

The Reds and Twins swap Southern league franchises, with Chattanooga once again becoming a Reds affiliate and the Blue Wahoos affiliating with the Twins.

The Mariners drop the Clinton Lumberkings, who are now affiliated with the Marlins.

In the Sally league, the West Virginia Power is now affiliated with the Mariners, losing the Pirates' affiliation, and the Grasshoppers are now affiliated with the Pirates, who were formerly affiliated with the Marlins.

Fun choice for a team name / design that's unusual and goofy without being 1000% ridiculous.
