Free Agency during the Reserve Clause Era
Does anyone like to play in a pre 1970s historical sim with modern free agency rules on?

My currant random debut began in 1947. It's a small one subleague setup and I'm using free agency. Locked financials into 1947 though. Mainly because my teams are all based in smaller cities like Shreveport, Jackson, Beaumont etc. First time I've ever used the default free agency rules(I don't have compensation turned on) with this small of a league. In the past I would change things to make players play 10,12 or more years with a team before becoming a free agent.

Yes. Started a random debut in 1901. Now at All-Star break, 1956. So far, my highest contract is Sixto Lezcano at 7 years for $954,000. Will probably have my first million dollar player next offseason. However, I do turn off draft signing bonuses because I prefer the draft to do what it's supposed to do and help out teams that are struggling. I don't run a team. I'm just in commissioner/fan/official baseball historian mode.
