But I am a historical simmer Mordecai Brown vs Christy Matthewson was always my favorite when the Giants and Cubs were neck and neck...much like real life, Mathewson was better stats wise but Three finger OWNED him and the Giants The 20's I had Dazzy Vance and Urban Shocker on the Yankees and A's respectively...those were some good battles, but usually the Yankees and Vance came out on top on poor pitching performances by both, although one year Vance 1 hit the mighty A's who in 1926 were the #1 offense Most even in terms of W/L were the 50's when Lopat or Newhouser or Ford or Feller of the Yankees,Tigers and Indians would go at it...very even. In the NL Spahn, Newcombe,Erskine,Cooper and Wynn would go at it for the Dodgers,Braves and Cardinals Good times

In a 1970 replay I had the Reds and Mets in the NLCS with Gary Nolan and Tom Seaver battling for the Cy Young. In Game 1 Nolan beat Koosman by throwing an 11 inning complete game 1 hitter and I thought he would be a lock for the Cy Young after that performance. On the next night in Game 2, Seaver threw a no hitter for the Mets!

I second that! Here was the outcome of that game. My pitcher has since lost 3 in a row. |

Last season or the 2018 season there were 2 pitchers that were both 26-0 face off vs each other last August. One guy ended up getting injured and missing 2 starts Petson went 30-2. Kanter, the guy who missed 2 weeks, ended up at like 28-6.
