I did, but I can understand people who hang back a while. One group, of course, are those who want to see how the initial launch goes and whether the new game is widely praised or panned. Another group are people who wish to "donate" more to the game by waiting and paying full price (although over the years, as the price as risen and OOTPD becomes more successful and commercial - like the association with MLB - I would imagine this group has dwindled).

Perusing the archives, I learned that the retail price of OOTP9 was $39.99. Preorder discounts used to be $10, IIRC. But still, the standard price has remained the same for some time. I'm surprised, to be quite honest.

I play historical and don't care about tournaments, relegation/delegation or fictional. I'm more interested in the actual game play and 3D. I'll probably buy it mid season(I've bought every version since 13) depending on what I read here in the forums.

Yes, like every year. I would drop a hundred on this game and not think twice about it.
It is that great of a game.
Also with the addition of the negro leagues this game is going to be fantastic.

- No pre-order on Steam, which I by now have everything on due to being flatout lazy
- I only have one league that I (want to) play and after 6,588 games I can't have any 'funny accidents' that always happen before the eighth patch.
