I'm currently replaying MLB history as GM starting in 1903. Currently finishing 1937. Pausing to field manage an interesting World Series matchup when I see one.
I'm amazed at the accuracy of the simulation.
Babe Ruth ended his career with 697 home runs. His highest number? 60, although he did it in 1930, not 1927.
The one annoying thing has been the domination of the Yankees. They've been in every World Series from 1921 to 1937, with the exception of 1935 when Detroit won the pennant. The Washington Senators and Philadelphia A's of that period couldn't pull off an AL pennant.
The Yankees faced the Pirates in 1927, as they did historically, although the Pirates took them to a seventh game (instead of being swept, like they were historically).
Pretty cool.
