My new random debut
Was really hoping I could just transfer my 19 random over and continue playing . League transferred fine, but unless something is done about the strobe light pitcher facegen deal, I can't play a league using facegen. So I created a new league.
Decided to go small this time. Small 10 team league. Only one Subleague. 156 game schedule. 96 games against division foes, 60 against other division. League starts in 1947, but I'm using 1986 for modifiers and strategy. This league is based on the International Hockey League I grew up watching as a kid. Saginaw is the Bears, because there is no Gears logo. Saginaw had a minor league team called the Bears at one time. Port Huron is the Basher, as there is no Flags logo. |

Wasn't Mike Palmateer a Gear? Became a fan when they knocked the Isles out in '78 automatically makes me a Bears fan....

Hoping to keep this going long enough to expand to at least 14 teams if not 16. Expansion cities I have in mind are Peoria, Grand Rapids, Lansing, Erie and Milwaukee. The Milwaukee Admirals were a real life IHL participant. Just wondering if they will look weird in this setup though, as all the other cities are so much smaller.

Ugh, as is usually the case when a new version comes out I am starting and stopping all over the place. I started another random league last night. It's like this every single time I get a new version. I'm bound and determined to lock into a league a lot earlier this year.

I hear you. In past years I outdone start several leagues every year but this year I hope to stick with one (so far so good).

I didn't delete the one I started this thread about and might end up playing it in the end. Just have to find that sweet spot when it all clicks.

That is a slippery slope, I tell myself every year that I am going to start and stay with a league. Then a different idea pops into my head, off we go down the rabbit hole.
