NHL WHA League Evolution

Real players, fictional teams. This is what I've been waiting for from this game. Thanks!

A couple questions.

Based on what I've read I'm assuming the following

1. If I take control of league evolution before the WHA forms, it never forms

2. If I take control of league evolution while the WHA is active, I can reduce the league to two teams, but can't completely eliminate it?

So if I want to merge the WHA and NHL earlier, say in 76-77, I'm assuming I can recreate the WHA teams I want in the NHL and manually re-assign the players I want.

With the 2 remaining teams in the WHA I can rename them, but can I reduce the teams budgets so they can't compete for free agents?

All assuming I'm in commissioner mode.

Yeah, that'll work. Dropping their arena capacity, market size, and fan loyalty to minimal levels would probably be a good idea, too, and in League-Rules take all the roster settings (the first 4 listed at the top) down to their minimum.

I'm not sure the upper limit has been tested, but eventually it will start adding fictional players as it notes.
