Not responding
Game just randomly says not responding sometimes and I have to start from the last save...any ideas

The trace file may be able to tell us something if you check it immediately after a crash - to enable it, on the start menu go to settings, troubleshooting, and then click on "enable debug trace." Then, if you get a crash, before re-starting the game (which will clear the file's contents), go to the \debug folder in your FHM data folder (Documents\Out of the Park Developments\Franchise Hockey Manager 4\debug in Windows), open the fhm_trace.txt file, and post the contents (or the file itself) here.

Is it always on that screen and do you always use ""Sim Game"?
Any chance you have a save on the day where it happens? Also, what AI settings do you use exactly (on the Manager Options screen)?

Not Responding when selecting Manager Options
Whenever I select Manager Options, my app freezes and I'm forced to re-start the game from the last save. This has happened on every iteration since the beta release and on multiple computers. Any advice?

It's freezing as soon as you click on Manager Options, before changing anything? Could you try turning on debug tracing (from the start screen, click on Settings-Troubleshooting-Enable Debug Trace), then load a game and open Manager Options, and when it freezes go to your \debug folder (without shutting the game down) and copy the contents of the fhm_trace.txt file and post them here? That may tell us what exactly is going wrong.

This has happened to me like 50-100 times in the two weeks since I got the game. Same message. It happens in the middle of the saving process, in the middle of the loading of a save, when I try to sim, when I change pages to my roster, to manager options, to standings, to whatsoever...
I can't even start my last save after the last crash. It stops at 50%. And my rolling saves have vanished somehow after the update. Last edited by jjussi; 05-11-2018 at 06:53 PM. |
