Noob Question about posting web results

I am running a historical team league simulator and just want to post my results (box scores, etc.) so my brothers and father see them.

On another thread, people took me to the generate reports pages, and told me that I need hosting.

I have a site now, but don't understand how to get things to upload and show up on them.

This site is exactly what I am looking for: Home

Can someone please help me? I a, SO close. haha

I believe you can access this by going to Game > Game Settings > Online League > Create/upload reports, but don't hold me to it. Can anyone confirm this for me?

Well, do you have experience in the backend department of site management (MySQL, PHP, etc.)? If not, then you'll need to learn unless there's an online tool to help post results and news.

Haha... nope.

I guess I will have to learn.

Ugh... maybe not as close as I thought I was.

Thanks. If anyone knows a cheap way to learn, I would appreciate it.

There's no cheap way to learn anything, you have to apply yourself

Go to google, type in "Learn MySQL" Many results, mostly free. Just requires your participation

Download Filezilla. It's free and easy. It has a connection wizard where you will input your website address and username and password. You can tell it what folder to upload to on the website and what folder on your computer to upload from.

how you do this depends on your tolerance for different types of learning.

for this type of thing I use a home web server on a beat-up old PC with free & easy web server software. (abyss x1). it's so easy the hardest part is learning to port-forward your router. copy the "html" folder from your league into the web-enabled folder, then just give your father/brother/friend your IP address.

or you have to buy cheap web-hosting someplace

Will this just let me post the html files? I don't need to transfer things to other players.
