Best Drafted Player Ever

A few days ago I drafted a guy by the name of Jorge Balderas in iootp 13. He had 18 power and 18 contact potential on a 1-20 scale. He finished his career with 601 home runs and a 297 average. He played until he was 44. I drafted him 1st overall in 2013. Him trout and Machado who also had a nice career led my team to 3 ws in about 10 years He is now in the hall of fame besides harper and trout. I wanted to hear if any of you have drafted a player with great skill potential that turned out really amazing.

Nice! Can't think of anyone I've drafted who has turned out that way, but I've traded for and signed as free agents guys who have had great careers for me. I tend to be less patient with my draftees and look for the guys who can help me win now.

I've had the same. A lot of 2 year then trade situations. The player I traded for turned into a monster, if not for a career, at least a few years.

Yeah he was great. I've never had anyone quite like him again but i am developing a nice young pitcher I drafted the year after he retired. I love making trades to. Free agent signings aren't really my thing I only sign a great player if I know my draft picks going to be bad otherwise I try to keep my pick. I am now starting some historical season's. one in 1950 where I just drafted Mays and another in 1960 where I just traded for Clemente.

Back on iOOTP 2012, I drafted an 80 potential reliever in the 3rd round. I left him in the minors for a year. I brought him up the following year and had the CPU fix my rotation for me to see what the CPU rating were. It had him slotted as my Ace. After a 17 year career, He finished with 365 wins, 108 losses, a 2.46 ERA and 3150 K. Although that was in 2012 when everything was a little easier.
