The story of the Chandler Memorials (previously Electrics)
I write this to spotlight one of the many ways to play Perfect Team. Some wll likely find something "illegal" here, but I'm being transparent because I don't feel at all guilty for how I've played this team. I also think some PT players are frustrated to the point of putting their teams on automatic, and I want to point out there are other options.
The Chandler Electrics were my original P2P team (about $150 total investment) which started out the 2019 Season at 110-52, qualified for the playoffs, and was promoted to Silver. 2020 saw the Electrics move to Gold, 2021 saw them move to Diamond. In 2022, they had an off-year, going 85-77, but in 2023 bounced back to a 100-62 season and again made the playoffs and moved to Perfect. 2024, my first year in Perfect, reality struck as I posted a 65-97 season, 48 games out of 1st place. I did what I could, but followed that record in 2025 with a 62-100 season (56 games out) and in 2026 posted a 61-101 season (58 games out). I realized the team wasn't going anywhere unless I got very lucky or poured more money into the team, so I decided to revamp the team to a "1950 and before" roster. I sold all my players that didn't fit the new theme, and slowly began to rebuild (F2P). In 2027 I dropped to Diamond and posted a 93-69 1st Place finish - and got promoted back to Perfect. After the first month of 2028, it was clear I was going to get demoted again, so started training my players to my advantage. As an example, I played Dom DiMaggio in all outfield positions all year and he ended up rating 100+ at all 3 positions, and became a late inning replacement. 2028 ended with a 54-108 record (54 GB) and I was, in fact, demoted to Diamond. 2029 proved successful with a 2nd place finish at 84-78, and in 2030 (current) I'm holding on in 2nd place at 74-68 (12 games back) with a chance to snag a wildcard spot. The team currently consists of 2 Perfects, 19 Diamonds, 3 Gold, and 1 Silver (Dom DiMaggio). All-in-all I'm having fun. With the self-limit of not using any players from 1951 or later, however, pretty much limits me to where I am now. I'll never earn enough APs to buy a multi-hundred thousand point player I could use, so I run a few years earning what I can, then turn to packs in the hope I will either land a dream pre-1950 player or enough higher end players to make a profit by selling them. This year I'll finish the last few seasons with about 30,000 points, so I'll be opening 30 packs with my fingers crossed on Sunday. Last edited by HRBaker; 06-15-2019 at 01:01 PM. |

I don’t see anything illegal or even questionable here. When you revamped the team, you were coming off three straight seasons of 97 losses or more. You were justified in changing everything at that point.
