Historical Mode Question
I was hoping to do a historical NHL replay, beginning in 1917, and carrying through to the present day. One of the settings is to decide whether you want players to appear on their real teams, or be generated at drafted at age 17. I was hoping that from 1917 to 1963, I could just have players appear on their real life teams, in an effort to replicate the system of the time, with sponsorship based scouting. However, from 1963 onwards, I want a draft to be implemented into the game. Now I don't believe it's possible to change this setting in game, however, I was wondering if there is any way to transfer the team histories, rosters, etc over to a new game file, where I change the setting, and hopefully seamlessly continue the replay, just with a draft setting enabled.
Thanks |

Not possible, I'm afraid. The way the historical game is set up, the player generation method is inherent to the save and it won't work properly if the old data from the 1917 game is just swapped into a new 1963 game.
That said, I've been thinking about trying to find a way to do a mixed-mode like that where there's only a draft in the real draft years. But it'll be complicated and the resources necessary may be better spent adding some other new features to historical mode. |
