signing minor league FA's
It would be nice if each time you signed a player, they would go to DFA rather than having the AI attempt to assign them to a level of minors that has an opening....as a result I must demote the player, which automatically affects his morale.

I think he'll be peeved, regardless, if he is assigned to a level lower than he thinks he should be in......and an upset player is no big deal......really only makes a difference when you are wanting to sign him to an extension......

i've had cases where the player was upset of being in AAA. not sure where else in minors he was expecting to go...

true...but I just feel any player coming into an organization should automatically go to DFA, and then be assigned accordingly. It will spare morale issues, and is just a more uniform and neat way of doing things.

all of my MiLB teams have 25 active players on the rosters at all times, so whenever I might sign a FA to a minor-league deal, he will always be assigned to Rookie Ball, then re-assigned accordingly.
