Pitcher Score?
I've looked around and most likely missed this (wish there was a search function),
but what does this mean? Thanks |

If the iOOTP version is using the same as the main game, it's the Bill James formula that is used
Start with 50 points. Add 1 point for each out recorded, so 3 points for every complete inning pitched. Add 2 points for each inning completed after the 4th. Add 1 point for each strikeout. Subtract 2 points for each hit allowed. Subtract 4 points for each earned run allowed. Subtract 2 points for each unearned run allowed. Subtract 1 point for each walk.

I believe it appears below the pitching line on the boxscore.

The problem with Pitcher Game Score is that a perfect game with 27 strikeouts is not the highest score possible...
If as a pitcher you let three batters per inning on base because of a dropped third strike and strike out properly the other three you get 6 pts per inning rather than 3 so you end up with 27 more points despite allowing 27 baserunners!
