When gout attacks...

Haven't seen this one before. Dallas Keuchel is going to miss his start against us today due to gout.

Funny how my opinions about gout have changed over the years. I used to chuckle when David Wells would miss games due to gout. "Oh, poor baby, a sore toe!"

Now, many years and many personal gout attacks later, I can only say I hope it's a minor attack and doesn't spread to his ankle (which sucks) or knee (which sucks more).

type 2 diabetes? get checked. that increases chances, if you have not already done so. getting that under control will reduce problems with gout.

david wells was not a healthy person, lol. while some may be prone or some condition that exacerbates it, but it's often lifestyle choices too -- like david wells' situation.

I have one guy that will miss 8 to 9 months for cutting his finger trying to get a brownie out.

I think I remember reading somewhere that someone saw a shark attack injury.

Many years ago I was cutting a piece of fruit and the knife slipped and I ended up cutting through a tendon in my hand.
It took 14 months to get a full range of motion back and to be able to grip round objects firmly.
