Hey all,

We want to constantly improve the real roster set, so please post issues you run across here once the game is released.

Please do not post issues with players being on wrong rosters, minor league levels, on or not on the 40-man rosters, lineups, pitching staff spots. The AI sets these up and there is nothing we can do to force player X to be used in a certain predefined way.

Also, do not post stuff like "Freeman just hit .250 in my sim, this cannot be right." or "Why has X better ratings than Y?". Posts like these will be ignored! Major league player ratings are based on ZiPS projections, not opinion.

Please, please before you make any comments in this thread that touch on ratings or rankings, turn off scouting. If you're commenting when you still have scouting on, it's inaccurate, confusing and a waste of both our time and your own.

One other thing to note, we're not able to set the specific 26-man and 40-man rosters to exactly match real life.

All we can do here is adjust ratings to 'encourage' the AI to make the 'right' choices as much as possible.

We'll take a couple more passes through the league(s) to do this within the next couple weeks, so hopefully this will get a bit more accurate each time.

Please post here:
- Errors in contracts
- Issues with players being in the wrong organization
- Vastly wrong player ratings (disable scouting first so you see the real ratings), for example a Double-A scrub having allstar-calibre ratings

Be aware, some things are still a work in progress and not yet completed. For instance:
- Updated coaching staffs in some leagues
- Updated 2024 rosters for British, Dutch, Indy and KBO leagues who have not yet set their full rosters or only just done so
- MLB prospect ratings are still very much a WIP due to the earlier release, especially those toward the 15-50 range on their team lists
- Ratings for some newly signed IAFA's. Also some of the lesser known recently signed IAFA's have not yet been added to the db.
- Some other things are still a work in progress, like updating pitcher repertories that have changed recently, adjusting positions based on playing time last year, as well as general ratings adjustments.
- The British NBL does not have all players created yet, and the NBL, Honkbal and Korean Futures league stats for 2023 are still to be added.
- Also, please be aware that some Korean players have been randomized. This is due to legal requirements in Korea.

A few issues with some of the Braves player's contracts, mostly with club options at the end. All the info below is from Spotrac.

Ronald Acuna should have two club options, for 2027 and 2028, both with a $10 million buyout. Currently 2027 is guaranteed and 2028 is an option with no buyout.

Ozzie Albies is similar, both 2026 and 2027 should be club options with $4 million buyouts each. Currently only 2027 is an option.

Michael Harris' contract should have 2031 and 2032 as club options, $5 million buyout on each. Only 2032 has an option currently.

Austin Riley should have an 11th year (2033) as a club option, $20 million with no buyout. Currently the 10th season (2032) is a club option, but it should be guaranteed with the extra option year.

David Fletcher should have two option years, 2026 and 2027. Aaron Bummer should also have two option years for 2025 and 2026. Jordan Luplow is on a minor league deal, he currently is on a $1.4 million contract, which is what he signed for last season.

Not in our editor that sets up the initial rosters. We can maybe look at adding some functionality once we get some breathing room after launch, but for now this is not possible to pre-set.

Ah I gotcha, thank you. It's a small thing but would definitely appreciate it somewhere down the line, just to not have to edit these guys and others around the league.

It looks like some Complex league teams are missing, I created a custom MLB Game and Standard MLB Game and based on the teams in the in league for 2023 these were missing.

Some minor ratings issues within Braves org. All ratings are with scouting at 100%.

- Ignacio Alvarez doesn't have any rating at SS when he played there almost exclusively last year.
- Max Fried's individual pitch ratings just don't look right to me. FB 55, sinker 50 while everything else is 45 or below. Curveball at minimum should be a plus pitch I would think?
- Spencer Strider has been said to have added a curveball this offseason. I know its a gray area since he hasn't used it in an actual game yet, but wanted to put it out there to gather your thoughts.
- prospect Jhancarlos Lara was a hot riser last year through the Braves system. I'm showing him as 75-80 velocity in OOTP.

-Ryan O'Hearn has a $7.5m team option in 2025, no buyout
-Kimbrel's 2025 buyout on the team option is $1m
-Cionel Perez has $2.2m team option in 2025 with no buyout. He is then Arb3 in 2026
Felix Bautista's 2025 salary is $1m (and then arb 2 and arb 3)

RATINGS
The Cubs have the # 2 ranked minor league system according to MLB.com. OOTP has them ranked 11 or 12, and a lot of the Cubs top 30 prospects need a significant talent bump, in my opinion. I won't list each one individually here. But harmonizing the OOTP Cubs prospects with the MLB.com top 30 list would be a good start.

Not sure if pitch mixes fall under this post, but if so, Charlie Morton needs to have a 4 seam fastball added, and switch out the slider for a cutter. He throws the 4 seam 31% of the time and the sinker 7%, so I would think the 4 seam should be rated where the sinker currently is and the sinker lowered.

Bryce Elder needs to add a 4 seam fastball and lose the curveball.

With the new rules on how many players teams can keep under contract in the minors, no teams are planning to run multiple complex (non-DSL that is) teams this year.

As mentioned above, the prospect ratings as still very much a work in progress.

That being said, the OOTP system rankings will never really harmonize with the real life ones because OOTP only considers the top 100 or 200 players in making the system rankings, not the entirety of the system.

Strider I don't know about at the moment, will have to check into it a little more.
