Aside from your favorite MLB team, which team do you think would be the most fun to manage/GM?

I think if you're looking for a really good team with a legitimate shot at winning a World Series, you gotta go with the Los Angeles Dodgers. The Dodgers are loaded with talent at the big-league level and they've got a deep farm system. They just can't seem to get that elusive World Series ring. I've thought about doing an OOTP Franchise with the Dodgers for these reasons.

I think if you're looking for a really good challenge with a rebuilding team, the Baltimore Orioles, Detroit Tigers and Miami Marlins are good teams. Speaking of the Marlins, don't laugh, but I really think that team is going to be much better in 2020. I've done some replays in 2020 versus the Marlins, and their pitching has been good. They've got some young talent, and I think they could be a surprise this year. Not a playoff team yet, but maybe in 2021.

I also think the Pittsburgh Pirates would be a good team to manage/GM if you're looking for a rebuilding team.

The Cincinnati Reds and Philadelphia Phillies are two teams that I think are on the brink of being a contender.

Yeah, Rube, I have thought along those exact same lines. I thought about the Dodgers and backed off thinking I wanted a bigger challenge. Then I went to the Orioles and saw the team chemistry was Feuding and thought "Wow! That's a little bit more than I wanted to get into!"
So, I bent and went with my Royals. Even though it is my team, I thought "Well....if I can attack the pitching and get a free agent or two, I might be able to slip into a wild card." Luckily, I was able to sign a HUGE free agent from Japan.
I have been tempted to try the Rangers, A's, Reds, Twins and Pirates.

I have been tempted to try the Royals, too, but I would take a different approach. I would put artificial turf back into the ballpark and build the team on speed, defense, and pitching like the great Royals teams of the 1970s and 1980s. In essence, they would be a throwback team to a different era.

Dodgers would be way too easy to win with. Their budget is ∞², they have a deep farm you can trade off for win now pieces from rebuilding teams, and they have a stacked AF roster as it stands.

I have just started reading about your Portland Raccoons of the ABL. I cannot believe how alike our personalities are, or at least the way we are when we write . Keep on keeping on...or at least bemoan all the reasons that put you in your current predicament and blame everyone from Mrs. Snively from 2nd grade that always sneered at you cock eyed through her wire rim glasses and passed that 3 haired wart at the end of her nose and Jack M. Hoffman who was always bothering people asking them to...yea he's a good go to for blaming something for or on. Anyway, love the franchise, keep up the...work.

Take care and have a Great Night!

Palaaemon

PS. If it's an MLB game I would like to try the Padres.

I like a challenge so an older team without a great farm system like the San Francisco Giants. I lean towards American league teams however because I dont like how the computer handles the NL pitching staffs so Id go with Royals as a nice challenge.
