I've been to a couple games and don't remember it. The Saints do random things all of the time, I wonder if that was one of those things that they did once?

I remember it being sort of a mainstay. They had their own little section somewhere down the left field line. It was probably in the early 90s when I went there. Wouldn't surprise me if they weren't still there.

I've been to four ball parks ranked from my favorite to least favorite:

Wrigley Field
Dodger Stadium
Miller Park
Chase Field

I like the old school baseball feeling at Wrigley and Dodger stadium. Not much of a fan of the newer amusement parks they are making now. Mind you I'm only 21 years old and I prefer old school

Oh and I also went to spring training in AZ to watch the Dodgers. I forget which city it is now... Goodyear?? Chandler?? I was able to get a picture with Kemp and Ethier!

Majors

Kauffman Field

Minors

Silver Stadium (former home of the Rochester Redwings)

Never lived really close to a pro team major or minor. Minimum of 2 hours for even minor league. Just moved to Myrtle Beach in November though so I plan on taking the kids to several Pelicans games this summer

Major League:

1. Excruciating (Exhibition) Stadium many times.

2. Yankee Stadium (1985) - Phil Niekro (headed for 300 wins) vs Tim Lollar of the Boston Red Sox. 4-2 for the Bombers.

3. Municipal Stadium - 6,280 fans in a 75,000 seat stadium. Only thing you could hear was the crazy, dedicated drummer who Mo honoured this past year. What made it worse was the Indians (39-78) and Tom Waddell (with a CG no less) beating my Blue Jays (73-45) and Dave Stieb 5-3. Ugh. Argh.

4. Three Rivers Stadium - Rick "Big Daddy" Reuschel on the comeback trail vs Mario Soto. 3-2 Pirates. A win by the Indians and Pirates of 1985 on back to back nights in 1985. What a trip!

5. Veterans Stadium - Fernando Valenzuela vs Jerry Koosman. Sounds good right? 15-6 Dodgers. Just missed getting Mike Marshall's Grand Salami - landed two seats to the right, and my friend's dad got into the scrum, but came up empty. Koosman's career ended after that game.

6. Shea Stadium - Terry Leach vs Vida Blue of the Giants. Mets romp 7-0, Leach all the way on a 3-hit shutout, with 1 BB and 3 K. You just never know what you're gonna get when you show up at the ballpark.

7. Fenway Park - Caught a screaming line drive perhaps off the bat of Kirby Puckett in BP. Had a bruise on my palm for days. Frank Viola vs that Tim Lollar goof again. Twice in one trip? Ugh. 5-2 Twins, with Dewey Evans leading off for the Red Sox, and Wade Boggs batting second. John McNamara understood sabermetrics, despite making the biggest non-defensive replacement gaffe in history a year later.

8. SkyDome/Rogers Centre many, many times.

Minor League:

Nat Bailey Stadium in Vancouver, BC three times.

I think that's it. If I remember more, I'll edit. No, I don't have a photographic memory, just BB-Ref. What a great site.

Exhibition Stadium (2): First ever game Jays vs the O's in a snore fest (1984 maybe). Later, a September pennant chase game against the Tigers in the bleachers. Great atmosphere--terrible stadium.

Olympic Stadium (3): My Expos! Saw them for the first time after they acquired Mark Langston (one of the rare times Les Expos loaded up for a pennant race but it was a dark day since they gave up Randy Johnson). They lost the game I went to and tanked the season. I later went twice toward the end of days in Montreal to make my peace with the fact my team would be no more. BY FAR THE WORST STADIUM IN MLB HISTORY *except for the fact the Expos played there.

Skydome (10?, 20, 30?): Like watching a baseball game in a video arcade. Not all bad though. At least when I make the drive I know there will be a game. Only seen the roof malfunction once.

Comerica (2): Great ball park, good fans and decent concessions ($)

Citizens Bank Park: Beautiful ball park. My girls and I tailgated outside the stadium (first ever baseball tailgate!). Watched some drunk season ticket holder lose his mind in the bathroom because the free hats they were giving away were not up to his standard (almost got in a scrap for laughing at him). Made lots of friends with my Jays Halladay jersey.

The Jake (Progressive Field): Best seats I have ever had at a ball game. They had some crazy seat sale for walk ups. Tribe fan for a day! I love the downtown and the stadium is still gorgeous. Almost got turned back at the border (I am Canadian) when the US border guy heard we were going to Cleveland ("no one goes to Cleveland son", I think he was joking?).

Great American: stopped in on our way back from Tennessee. Hot as hell. Then it rains in the middle of the 1st inning for a hour long rain delay. Still a great game against the Bucs. Nicest park I have been to.

Minor League:
Labatt Park (40?): Hometown of London, Ontario and it is the "oldest continually operating baseball grounds in the world". Great place to watch a game. The Tigers had a AA Eastern League team here once upon a time and numerous independent league teams have come and failed. The IBL Majors have survived it all and put on a good show.

Major League:
Comerica- first major league game in 2002, before the Tigers were any good. Loved the park, but there was no atmosphere to speak of. Been back MANY times since and it has everything now. Easily my favorite park that I've been to.
Jacob's Field(even as a Tiger fan, I will NEVER call it Progressive)- too nice of a stadium to be having the attendance issues it is now. Also, got to see Ken Griffey Jr. homer here in 2009. Always will be one of my best baseball memories.
Great American Ball Park- meh. Not a terrible stadium but I feel like there's some things they messed up. I'm sure there are worse parks around the league, but it's 3rd on my list.

Minor League:
Huntington Park(Columbus)- Amazing place to see a game. Especially with the cheap seats being basically right on top of the action in left field and filled with drunk college kids.
Fifth/Third Field(Toledo)- HUGE upgrade from the old stadium in Toledo. I'll get to that later.
Memorial Stadium(Fort Wayne)- this was where I went to my first ever pro baseball game in the mid 90s. Stadium wasn't really anything to write home about. Saw guys like Torii Hunter, Jacques Jones, and Michael Cuddyer play there though, so that was cool.
Ned Skeldon(Toledo)- only went once for a Tigers-Mud Hens exhibition back in like 96. The Hens almost beat the Tigers. The best thing about this stadium was that it no longer exists. Terrible place for baseball.

This coming year I plan to AT LEAST add the new park in Fort Wayne(I hear it's amazing) and I'm thinking about a drive to Pittsburgh when the Tigers are over there. I HAVE to see PNC the way people have talked about it.
