Stopper is better than either of those.

Your 5th starter starts about 4 days after your 1st starter. Most of the time I don;t micro manage starts so that the 'ACE' get many more startes than the rest of the starters.

If you have two starters that fit the 5th spot, would the better pitcher help the team more as a middle relief that is used often or the 5th starter?

I don't think there is any way to know. It's not perfectly clear if you can even say definitively that between 2 closely rated pitchers which one is better. It's like asking how much better are the Team of the Decade players than the next best option.

More specific, Clemens is better then Seaver. Am I better off putting Clemens as #5 or middle relief more often and put Seaver #5?

The #5 is going to pitch more innings than any middle reliever, so in this case, I would use my better pitcher for more innings. Rixey is more highly rated according to "the spreadsheet" than Brecheen (as LHP in the bullpen), but my results with Brecheen have been better. Maybe there is a reason why Brecheen is OVR 99 and Rixey is just 96. So, Rixey is just wasted points sitting in my reserves.

Is more innings more important or more games? Middle relief use more often can affect 80 games. #5 Starter 30?

If your middle relievers are getting 80 games, may mean your starters are not very good. I prefer more innings from my best pitchers available, your middle relievers may be entering games already behind in the score, so what good is that?
