PT 21 Suggestion - Progressing through baseball eras

Just testing an idea here - what if PT 21 did not start in 2020 but at some point in baseball history (eg. 1901) and moved towards 2020 and beyond during the year, using factors from those eras to influence results on the field ?

I've heard some players complain about being bored because of the repetitiveness of the game or having to competee against teams on autopilot. That would be one way to avoid that.

What do you think?

Except for certain years like ca. 1920 and 1968 and freakin' 2019 you are still going to be on autopilot for most of the time, since changes are going to be miniscule at the best of times in between those huge game-changing scenarios.

But wouldn't it still be more interesting to change the meta of the game 5-6 times during the year ?

Not really.

What they need to do is to get away from the status of "tired" and change it to "effectiveness" which would incorporate both tiredness and rust.
