Continued my tradition first thing this morning at work... pre-ordered without hesitation. I've pre-ordered every version of OOTP that's been available for pre-order. Owned every version of the game ever released. OOTP is truly one of the greats.

Since the international leagues are available as templates, you can add them to any league, even imported ones.

The big features sound great and I cant wait to find out what else hasnt been announced. but it always amazes me how excited I get for the tiny little changes. Like the ability to choose spring training length is something I never knew I wanted until i started a short season league. And suddenly there were more preseason games than regular and it made no sense.
Also retiring numbers to remember the greats of your team is awesome. Im off to preorder.

Since we use a open source format that also Google uses (Collada), it simply depends on who will create the stadiums. The game itself will ship with a pretty basic default ballpark, but I expect the community to come up with great recreations of real parks pretty fast

Please tell me the default ballpark IS NOT Citizens Bank Park.

Wow! It sounds like there's a lot of long-requested features in this one.

The new ratings system sounds like it would be great for online leagues but I'm probably most excited by widescreen optimization - it's definitely time and I'll appreciate that every time I open the program.

Already pre-ordered!

I assuming the same will not hold true for the new dominican and venezulean summer leagues? If importing from OOTP 14, how will it be possible to add these?

No, these are affiliated and hence not part of a single template, sorry.

All I can say is wow am I excited! I'm a rookie when it comes to OOTP versions as OOTP14 is my first version, but I plan on making the pre-order list as soon as possible. These additions seem to be exciting and a huge step forward for the advancement's of OOTP. This community and set of developers is what will keep me returning for future versions to come!

I'll be interested to see what kind of changes will be made in the online/multiplayer world.

Every year I tell myself that I'm going to skip the new version because the one I have is pretty solid. I'm not completely sold on the new one, but I'm intrigued. The thing that bugs me, and which I would love to really see work, is the co-existence of independent leagues and MLB. Because MLB works so differently than independent leagues, it's difficult to keep the two working together, yet separately.

Historical League Improvements

OOTP 15 makes it much easier for you to create the historical league you've always dreamed about. The league creation wizard has been completely redesigned and offers new functionality - for example, you can easily set up a historical league with teams from different eras, or create a fictional league with a historical player pool of your choosing.

I take it this would have to come from a DB from say Spritze? It still wouldn't be possible to take a custom league like my EBL vs MLB that has historical MLB + my custom players and create a RD league with it without having a DB for it 1st?
No sure if I am asking that properly.
