Nando went to the post once in 1970 giving him a career that spanned four decades. In his prime he edged into the Ring Magazine middleweight rankings and could be viewed as a lower tier contender. Faced guys like Andres Selpa, Wim Snoek, Charlie Cotton, Mauro Mina, and Hurricane Carter. In the mid 60s he rejuvenated his career in Europe fighting out of Holland. During his four decades in the ring he captured the middleweight championship of Aruba. I personally view him as a boxing "Everyman", and archetypical pro fighter. bear
