League Questions
I started a historical league year 1901.
I checked import full minor leagues. I checked use ghost players. I checked don't make fictional players. I have unchecked the Draft button. I have no Draft. Question: Why am I getting multiple players in Free agency named. "BallPlayer"? Who is "BallPlayer"? Why are players like Lou Gehrig(1920) signing with random teams. They were not available in Free Agency board. Who determines who signs these players? They are not getting signed by Historical team they signed with. These type players look like undrafted free agents, but I don't get a chance to sigh them. The majority of the players do go to the correct teams. Thanks. |

ballplayer is merely someone whose first name is not known historically. in them olde days - lots of box scores were only written in with last names.
people like lou gehrig are signing with random teams because the minor league team he played on in real life is not in the game. he should end up on the Yankees (rather magically) when he did in real life. it really all depends on your settings - but when they hit the majors the players should go to the teams they did in real life. but i can't check those settings to see what they need to be set at to do that. maybe someone else can chime in and fill in those blanks.
