Youngest player you've started?
What is the youngest player you've called up and had in your starting lineup?
This is the first time ever I've had an 18 year old in the bigs...wish he could play defense though. |

I had an 18-year-old starting pitcher in my 18-team fictional league.

That is definitely a pretty aggressive call up. I personally would have let him stew in the minors more to bump up the defense and see the eye discipline increase. If he reaches 172 days of service each year he will be a free agent and 24-25 when he'll finally be close to his full potential!

I brought this stud up when he was 19 years old in 2019. Signed him when he was 16 from the Dominican where my scout found him.

Well. He's Dominican. Which probably means that he's not 18, but about 24 now.
And his name *actually* IS Fausto Carmona.

I've had a 20 year old or two, but no teenagers yet. For me, top 2B prospects seem to move up quickly.

Maybe my all time best player. Sept call up at 19. Went on to a HoF career, 3000 hits 5 batting titles 7 World Series and was 3rd all time in steals.

btw, do players develop quicker playing in the minors? IE, would his defensive ratings improve faster if he was playing in the minors oppose to the majors? |
