Player age

Does player age ever change in perfect team? I hope players don't get older and ratings drop/retire.

The live cards ratings go up and down based on real live baseball results but historic cards never change.

So the historic players never age, but the live cards do?

They don’t age. Their ratings change based on how they do in during the season.

I prefer the historic cards over the live cards for the ratings stability.

Only until they shut down PT20. How would you like to pay cash for a card and have him retire in 12 weeks?

My best pitcher is an 1984 Gooden. My best hitter is a 2004 Bonds.

Bonds is older than Gooden.

Yes on your first question and yes on Babe Ruth. Aging will only increase the complaint of P2W because of the increased cost due to rotating players, which is frankly, stupid to implement -- but a gold mine if there are a lot of whales who are willing to keep dropping money like crazy, just to cover all bases.

And to end all doubts, here's a picture from OOTP19(cuz it has lasted longer and that helps make my point) featuring a Mookie Betts who is 25 forever:

and depending on how long the servers run, someone can rack up some crazy career stats.... on my v19 team, Eddie Collins has been with the team since the start.... in a couple more seasons he should break 5000 career hits....

Yeah, I'm supposing that's why turned injuries off as well. I expected maybe some 15, 30-day DL stints from time-to-time. But $spenders would probably complain about that, too. Well, welcome to the life of a Owner/GM/Manager. Yeah, if they aged WOW or had season-ending/career-threatening injuries. This is understandable, though. It's supposed to be a game.

Thought maybe at least keep 15, 30 60-day injuries for a little realism even if they didn't happen very often but I guess none.

Yes, and your equipment. Is also vital to participation.

I think the injury issue is more on you can't expect players to be hardcore active and be available every day at any time to rotate the players. Unless they setup some sort of auto-DL option where you assign some players you want from reserve to rotate automatically, then maybe.

I have Nolan Ryan at age 40. Sure is nice to be able to use him more than just 6 seasons.
