I've never drawn a 100 Perfect card in all the packs I've bough. I've never even owned a 100 Perfect card. I have went head to head with Perfect Pitching Cards with a Gold only team and beat them badly, bc I just dont think rating are worth anything. I dont understand how a 70 rated card can out perform a 90+ rated card consistantly in same league. Hitters rarely reach their cards value in any stat & funny thing is pitchers neither. LOL

Why would they? Only major league players get cards (except for a scant few Future Legends, many of which now also have live cards).

I was just impressed he made it through an entire post without talking about how worthless the ratings are...

...Which he immediately complained about in the next post.

Will any one card be used in more than one mission?

That might keep me from actually completing missions if the rewards aren't a unique card, out of concern that a mission might come along later and require a card I've already used to get a better reward.

literally says so in the first post that you can use the same card in multiple missions.

Sounds like the mission cards will explode in price on the AH after they are named, which I think is the main point.

I'm so excited, I've been waiting for this since beta of PT with 19.

Hopefully there are some good Phillies...

Get ready investors

Will there be many missions for the lower value iron, bronze, and silver cards? I love the idea of giving those cards some value in a side card-collecting game so they are not simply cards I never look at.

Well, there's a weekend in between, and we all know that weekends pass like (clicks fingers). If that is not enough, the 17th is close enough that you can make it appear by emptying a barrel of beer and sleeping it off.

Hey, I am just making suggestions here!

My tournaments don't even have a target prone to moving yet.

Depends on the rewards. In theory the sum of the values of the component cards will be pretty close to the value of what you get out of them, the exception being missions that require cards which are good enough to keep playing with long-term since then you still have the value of the card on your roster.

I hope there are a lot of low level missions that reward packs. There needs to be more ways to get packs open and into circulation because no one just spends points on them unless they are doing a packs-only team. That's why it can take a week or more to see a specific card on the auction house.

If the reward for a "low-level mission" is a regular pack, then how much of a discount do you need before bothering to make that collection? Are collections going to be just a fancy way of buying packs?

i'd probably do it if I could get all the cards for less than 500 points. but a lot of people have most of what they need already and they can be reused in other missions.

they said they will give away cards and packs. obviously you aren't going to get a useable card for a bunch of cheap stuff so it will be packs. the game absolutely needs ways to get packs into the economy, no one spends PP to buy them since they are terrible value and the result is an extremely limited selection of cards on the auction house

You know, as the day swiftly approaches that this feature launches, I'm starting to get this dreadful feeling in the back of my mind more and more that this is just going to be another feature that separates even more the haves from the have-nots. I mean, if the only way for most people to field the teams they have now is to spend upwards of thousands of extra dollars on the game, I can't see them throwing any bones to people who have even spent as little as, say, $60-$100. That'll probably just net them some crappy packs, 3k PP, and a pat on the back at the end of the day. And uber whale team squad #46 gets another full set of perfect legends to add to his already full roster of perfect legend cards.

But, I've been wrong about things like this before. Just not very often...

How about holding back your accusations about OOTPD bending over backwards for the super-whales only for another 48 hours when we'll see the thing come to life?

If the uber whale teams already have a full set of perfect legends, how will this improve them? They still just have 25 roster spots right? Shouldn't offering other ways to acquire great cards only narrow the gap between teams that are already stacked and those that aren't?

If whales are bothering you that greatly, the solution is to play in salary cap tournaments religiously when those come along. A whale can't fit into a kiddie pool .

I just enjoy my teams. Winning is nice but it does not bother me when I don’t win.

If you are super competitive and P2W bothers you then don’t play PT, find a good online league to play in.

This is how I look at it. Maybe a tough mission rewards a perfect rickey henderson card, he won't be as good as perfect ty cobb that all the whales are using instead but could be a nice upgrade for someone in the tier right below that.
